Create a series

What is a series?
A series showcases multiple showtimes curated over a period of time according to a given theme. For example, a series can showcase films from a specific director, genre, etc.
Please note that one showtime can be added to one or multiple series.
How to create a new series
Login to your cinema dashboard
Select Movies from the left side navigation bar
Select Series from the drop down options
From here, create your new series:
Enter a name for your series
This is what your customers will see.
Enter the slug
The “slug” is the URL-friendly version of the name. It is usually all lowercase and contains only letters, numbers, and hyphens. 
Select the Add New Series button to add to your series list on the right side of the page.
Next, you'll want to edit your series details.
How to edit your series details
Select Edit below the series name.
From this page, you can edit the following details:
Series name
What your customers will see on the website to identify this series
Series slug
The “slug” is the URL-friendly version of the name. It is usually all lowercase and contains only letters, numbers, and hyphens.
Series featured Image
This image will show on the thumbnail page of all the series. It must be at least 1000 x 780px.
Series header image
This image will display on the individual series page behind the title.
Series short name
Will display in series pills along with the movie listing on the home page as well as the upcoming page.
Series button text
Text that appears within the showtime button on your website and in your box office app. There is an 8 character limit so it can fit within the button. Optional.
Series description
Will appear at the top of the individual series page.
Series tagline
A shorter version of the description that will appear over the thumbnail version on the all series page.
Series color
Used for series headers and badges
Always display option
Enable or disable the “Always display” option to always display this series on the site even when it doesn't have upcoming showtimes.
Featured series?
Check the box to feature this series at the top of the series listing

How to add shows and showtimes to series
Assigning series directly to a show:
In the show editor's Coming Soon section, ensure the Start Date is in the future, and then add one or more series from the Series dropdown.

Series added directly to shows will be displayed display on the Featured Shows panel﻿ until the Start Date has passed, and on all the following pages until showtimes are scheduled: Upcoming Shows page, the show's details page, and the series' detail page.
Any series assigned directly to shows will appear on your Film Series landing page > Upcoming tab until the Start Date has passed, or until any showtimes have been scheduled.
When scheduling showtimes for a show:
In the showtime editor pop-up in the Scheduler, add one or multiple series from the Series dropdown. Series added via this dropdown will display the series label with the show on all these pages: Flexible Template > Now Playing panel, Upcoming Shows page, the show's details page, and the series' detail page.
Any series assigned to showtimes will appear on your Film Series landing page > Upcoming tab, until the showtimes have passed.

Navigate to Movies > Showtimes
Check the box(es) to the left of each showtime
Select Bulk Actions
Select Edit
Select Apply
The bulk editor will appear, then:
In the Add selected showtimes to series box, start typing the series name
Select it when it displays in full
When ready to save your changes, press Update
