Sell Tickets with Fandango

Fandango is an entertainment and movie ticketing platform selling tickets on behalf of 31,000+ screens in the United States. Customers can purchase tickets to your shows via the Fandango integration. If you would like to enable this integration, please contact support@filmbot.com for next steps.

When your Fandango integration is enabled, customers can purchase tickets to your shows on fandango.com and in the Fandango mobile app. Fandango only supports movie screenings, so any special events you have scheduled will not be available for purchase on their platform.

Customers who purchase their tickets through Fandango will be given a standard order ID in the Filmbot admin, and the order ID will match the confirmation number they receive from Fandango.

To scan their tickets, search for their order ID in the Box Office app and ap the Scan button under the showtime they're arriving for. You can also print their ticket and scan it with the Filmbot Ticket Scanner app.

Only codes created with a custom name or generated by promotions where the Require email match at checkout? checkbox is not checked will be accepted on Fandango.

Discount codes created in Filmbot that require a matching email, including membership codes, ​ticket pack codes, and codes generated by promotions where the Require email match at checkout? checkbox is checked, will not be accepted on Fandango.

After enabling the Fandango integration, a new station titled "Fandango" will appear automatically in Sales > Stations. Do not delete this station as it's essential for the Fandango integration to function properly.

Sales through Fandango will appear in your admin under Sales > Orders, but all Fandango sales will be assigned to the same customer titled Fandango Customer, and the associated email will appear as fandango@theater.customer in Order Details and reporting. Fandango's privacy policy prevents them from sharing sensitive and non-sensitive personally identifiable information with us, so payment information like Card Brand and Card Last 4 will not appear for Fandango orders, and Payment Method will appear as "Fandango" for all Fandango orders.

In your Sales by Date > Sales Summary report, tickets purchased through Fandango will appear under "Third Party" in their own row.

Tickets purchased through Fandango cannot be refunded in Filmbot and must be refunded by the customer directly through Fandango. When the refund has been processed by Fandango, the order will be marked as canceled and associated tickets will be released in Filmbot. Fandango customers will only see ticket types that are available on your Web station, but they do not support free ticket types. If a showtime has free tickets types available, only paid ticket types will be shown on the Fandango platform. If an event has only free ticket types available, the showtime will not be listed on Fandango. Fandango does not support Filmbot's "GA Seat Limit" function, so any ticket types with this field populated will be excluded from purchase on Fandango.

There are no additional Filmbot fees associated with enabling the Fandango integration, but the standard Filmbot online ticketing fee will still be applied to tickets sold through Fandango. This will be billed automatically each month for any tickets sold through Fandango through an additional monthly subscription charged to your card on file.

Fandango has their own additional fee structure which should be reviewed and agreed upon within your direct agreement with their team. Filmbot does not have access to these agreements between you and Fandango.
