Connect with a TMS
Some theaters use a TMS (Theater Management System) to automate playback of content for their showtimes. We currently integrate with two TMS solutions, Cinema ACE and Film-Tech.
Before we can enable Cinema ACE, you'll need to work with your IT team to enable FTP port 21 on your router to allow connectivity to the following three IP addresses:
- 3.231.234.174
- 44.198.25.49
- 52.3.115.99
After doing so, please contact [email protected] with information on the public IP address for your theater. We can work with your IT team to make the necessary changes if necessary, and enable Cinema ACE for your theater.
- Navigate to the Scheduler in the Filmbot web admin
- Click the Cinema ACE button above the Scheduler
- Choose a date range of showtimes to upload (Comscore requires a minimum of 7 days)
- Press upload. The XML file will be generated and uploaded to Cinema ACE via FTP
To enable Film-Tech integration for your theater, please contact [email protected].
Once enabled, you'll see three Film-Tech options in the Scheduler for each showtime:
Standard (default) | Sends automation information on this showtime to your Film-Tech server. |
|---|---|
No Preshow | Sends automation information on this showtime to your Film-Tech server, but specifies that there will be no preshow. |
No Automation | Does not send automation information, primarily used if this is a live event, or an event where you'll be doing playback from a manual device (like Blu-ray or 35mm). |
