Edit your Home Page

While the home page for your theater will automatically populate with current and upcoming showtimes in the Now Playing panel, we invite you to add and arrange the other types of panels to best showcase your programming and initiatives for when your customers first visit your website:

  • Now Playing panel: Sell tickets to today's and future dates' showtimes
  • Featured Shows panel: Showcase tracks of specific programming (i.e. Upcoming Movies, Live Events, etc)
  • Blocks panel: Promote specific shows and/or evergreen initiatives such as series, membership drives, private rentals, etc.
  • Blog panel: Share the latest exciting news with posts about your cinema
  • Freeform Text panel: Provide more in-depth messaging, i.e. mission statement

To edit your home page:

  1. Log into your Dashboard
  2. Visit your site's home page (ie, yourtheater.com)
  3. In the Admin Bar at the top of the page, click Edit Page

Your home page uses the Flexible Template, which consists of a series of panels that display various types of content.

To re-order panels:

  1. Find the panel you wish to move
  2. Click and drag the top of that panel, moving it into the preferred location
  3. Select Preview Changes to preview how the site will look
  4. When you're ready, select Update to take things live

To add a new panel:

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the Flexible Template
  2. Select Add Panel
  3. Choose the type of panel you wish to add

While there's countless combinations of how you can use the Flexible Template panels, here are just a few help examples:

Example: How to add a panel of Featured Shows to your home page (i.e. Upcoming Movies, Live Events, etc)

  1. Go into your Dashboard and visit Pages > All Pages > Home
  2. At the bottom of the Flexible Template settings, click on Add Panel, then select the Featured Shows panel from the list that appears.
  3. Click on Add Block, and that's where you can configure the panel to showcase or promote specific shows. Get more information on configuring the Featured Shows panel
  4. Scroll up and click where it says Featured Shows Panel up on the header of the panel, then drag the panel up to the location where you want the panel to appear on the home page.
  5. Click Preview Changes to ensure everything looks and works the way you want, or make further modifications.
  6. When everything is good, click Update in the top right corner to make the change live on your home page.

Example: How to display an announcement at the top of your home page

  1. Go into your Dashboard and visit Pages > All Pages > Home
  2. At the bottom of the Flexible Template settings, click on Add Panel, then select Blocks panel from the list that appears.
  3. Click on Add Block, and that's where you can configure the Block to appear as a banner. Get more information on configuring the Blocks panel
  4. Scroll up and click where it says Blocks Panel up on the header of the panel, then drag the panel up to the location where you want the panel to appear on the home page.
  5. Click Preview Changes to ensure everything looks and works the way you want, or make further modifications.
  6. When everything is good, click Update in the top right corner to make the change live on your home page.
