Reporting Categories

For your own internal Products report, you can assign any product to a Reporting Category by first creating the Reporting Category (Products > Reporting Category) and then editing the specific product to be assigned to that Reporting Category.

The Reporting Categories will not affect how products display in your box office app nor the sales tax associated with them. It will only display as an additional column in the Products report to enable you to better organize and understanding your product sales.

As an example, it may be helpful to create a Reporting Category to organize all Alcoholic Drinks in your Products report, which may be broken into more specific Concession Categories such as Wine and Beer.
