Setup & Functionality
The Filmbot scanner app is available to download for free download and compatible with iOS, iPadOS and Android devices with rear-facing cameras and an internet connection:
After downloading, the Filmbot team will provide configuration settings specific to the cinema that must be entered for the scanner app to perform properly.
“QR Codes and Scanning” must also be enabled in the online admin, according to the following steps: Settings -> Theater Setup -> Ticketing

Customers who purchase ticket(s) online via the cinema website:
They will be emailed an email confirmation which includes the QR code to be scanned.
Customers who purchase ticket(s) at the box office:
Depending on which option management chooses to pursue, the customer may either be given printed ticket(s) with the QR code displayed OR emailed an email confirmation which includes the QR code.
Staff instructions:
When using the scanner app, it is important that ALL TICKETS are verified via the scanned QR code from either the email confirmation or printed ticket, rather than switching between scanning QR codes and checking/tearing tickets, which would enable email confirmations and printed tickets to be inappropriately used multiple times by customers.
When a customer presents the QR code displayed in their email confirmation or printed ticket, point the scanner app towards the QR code so that the code is within the green square outline onscreen. A “Success” message will appear once the QR code is successfully verified for the first ticket associated with the order. If multiple tickets have been purchased for the order, the QR code will need to be scanned again for every individual ticket until all tickets have been verified.

If the QR code is provided from an email confirmation or printed ticket after it has already been fully scanned, an alert will appear that all tickets have been verified and the customer should be directed to visit the box office or speak with a manager:

If a QR code is provided that is not associated with a ticket order, an alert will appear that no order is found for that code:

The Box Office app will display how many tickets have been scanned for each showtime, listed in parentheses beside how many tickets have sold and how many are remaining:
