How to Accept Gift Up! Gift Cards as Payment for Tickets

Once you've configured GiftUp! on your site, and created some GiftUp! gift cards for sale, you're ready to accept Gift Up! cards as payment on your Filmbot site.

By completing the steps in the two articles linked above, all the work for accepting gift card payments on your website is already done! At checkout, customers can expand the "Gift Card" field and enter their gift card number.

If their gift card's balance does not cover the entire cost of the order, they'll be prompted to provide their credit card details so that the credit card can cover the remainder of the order total.

To use Gift Up! gift cards in the Box Office app, you'll want to update your Box Office app settings. Here's how:

In your Box Office app settings, set the Gift_Card option to "gift-up", as shown in the following screenshot:

When you're ready to accept a Gift Up! gift card at checkout, choose the "Gift Card" payment type and ensure the order total matches what was charged. Complete the purchase manually to issue the tickets and log the order in Filmbot.
